OUR STORY

Immersed during their childhood in Parisian artistic environment, Charlotte is the grandniece of famous artist Jean Cocteau, when Veronique started at a young age to create and express herself with drawing and painting.

Both born and raised in the City of Lights, they grew up together and discovered a universe subtly combining luxury and tradition, creativity and modernity.

Charlotte, as a former lawyer, gained a global experience advising luxury brands and start-ups in the French fashion industry, dreaming of creating her own fashion brand.

After her fashion studies at L’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris, Véronique learned the fundamentals of her job as Leather Goods Designer, working for luxury brands such as Nina Ricci, Mauboussin, Lancel or LVMH. She also launched her own fashion Brand 216, Rivoli in 2002 and today she refines her experience as a freelance Senior Designer (under the Brand VDR PARIS) for French Luxury brands.

After an unexpected move to Hong Kong in 2011, Charlotte followed her heart and launched her own fashion accessories Brand. Within a few years, her dream took off and the brand MAKARON was born.

Sharing the same passion and creative vision and, despite the 10,000 km between Paris and Hong Kong, the two childhood friends have remained close and promised to collaborate.

2021 is the Year for their first collection of Fashion Accessories.

MAKARON X VDR PARIS

For Spring Summer 2021, MAKARON partnered with VDR PARIS to unveil a new collection of accessories: the PARIS HONG KONG Collection.

The Savoir Faire: Parisian fashion designer VDR PARIS brought designs to MAKARON in Spring for a capsule collection. Filled with good vibes, the SS2021 collection is an invitation to joy and spontaneity.

The collection’s colour palette includes classy colours such as navy blue/black hobo bag, but also contrasting colours which are said to provide a sense of energy and brightness.

MAKARON is synonymous with colours, contrasts, while remaining in a classic style. The Designer naturally wanted to play with all those colours, by mixing them, by keeping the main colour in each accessory: the fuchsia pink.
