HOW TO FIND YOUR ZEN IN HONG KONG

When you live in a frantic city like Hong Kong, sometimes you just need a break, don’t you? I give you the inside track of my fitness hacks, foodie hangouts, and power podcasts.

GRAB YOUR YOGA GEAR

One thing I learned from being an entrepreneur, wife, mum of 2 & 1 dog, I don’t spend enough time switching off.  When I’m not working, exercising, traveling or taking care of my family, I try to find time to relax. Yoga clears my head. Sometimes, it’s hard to wake up early and go for a Vinyasa, but then I think about how I feel great after the practice, and I am good to go. Yoga is endorphin inducing and will power your day.

My favorite yoga studio is the Pure, Repulse Bay (Pure South, The Pulse, Level 1, 28 Beach Road, Repulse Bay) because I can go swimming after the practice!

HAVE A DRINK, OR TWO

Post-workout smoothies are good for my body, a margarita is good for my soul. Nothing beats catching up with mates over drinks; gossiping, having a laugh and the possibility of ending up in the kebab shop in LKF or Wanchai.

The hidden bar J.Boroski (1-13 Hollywood Road, Central) is one of my favorite spots – the atmosphere is great, sensational décor and the cocktails are crafted entirely based on guest’s preferences.

PAMPER YOURSELF

Swimming a lot leaves my skin dry, wearing a lot of make-up clogs your pores, and if I’ve been out with my friends the night before, I end up with serious eye baggage, so I’m a big fan of facials. The SKIN PERFECTOR FACIAL at the Spa, Four Seasons Hotel (IFC, 8 Finance Street, Central) gives you the TLC you deserve.

LISTEN

I spend time in my car, driving around HK  (I don’t like HK taxi) and I like to listen to the French radio (France Inter is my favorite app – apple store). That’s sometimes good to listen, you learn so much. Also, I love the Power Hour podcast with Adrienne Herbert (from the UK) for a positive boost.
